HAPPY MOTHERS DAY MOTHER NATURE

Happy mother’s day mother nature, mother of all, mother of many.

Your love runs deeper than that of mortal man, maybe a few if any

You provide freely in abundance and demand neither silver nor penny

We hunt from thy forests and we gather from thy velds

We savour the fine fruits, we take comfort in thy beautiful sheds

We walk on thine, till the land and thy rains give life to the crop

We drink and eat from thine whilst our voices sing from atop

Atop the beautiful mountains and hills thou which are a capsule of our hopes

The beautiful gaze from thence marvellously embroidered with drizzling drops

HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY MOTHER NATURE, your love is indeed unconditional

 

You give without limit and we devour with neither conscience nor count

We lay bare the forests, we burn the velds and thine beauty we discount

We pollute, we litter, we kill, cut and capture without regard forgetting that you Oh Dear Mother are the inheritance of our children

We’re not knowledgeable or should I say we indeed do lack vision

We wish to do good in your omni-eyes and we are sorry for all our misguided squander

We are not merely sorry to you but we also pity ourselves for taking all your love and bounty for granted

Not realizing that destroying you is same as destroying ourselves.

For your sake and for ours we must change, its time to exploit SUSTAINABLY AND CONSERVE.
